Since May 5th 2020, L' AND Vineyards has been responsible for maintaining the "Clean & Safe" stamp given by the Portuguese Tourism Boards, which aims to recognize companies in the Tourism sector that comply with the recommendations of the Directorate-General of Health to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The attribution of this stamp represents the effort and dedication of the administration as well as the entire L'AND team, ensuring the fundamental assumptions of safety, trust, commitment and quality that characterize us.


THE HOTEL CHARACTERISTICS


L'AND Vineyards has become the perfect retreat for times like this. Just 1 hour away from Lisbon and always accessible by freeway, the project is located on the outskirts of Montemor-o-Novo.

Surrounded by vineyards, countryside and open views for the lake and castle of Montemor, none of our accommodation options share common areas.

AII Suites or Villas are exterior, with their own entrance from the outside.

The circulation around the entire property is very fluid, with no spaces for people to gather.

lnside the property, there is also the possibility of walking through the ecotrail, a pedestrian circuit with about 3.5 km, or to schedule one of the available outdoor activities.

IMPLEMENTED MEASURES EMPLOYEES

  • As a first step, the individual protection it is mandatory.

  • Training and awareness.

  • No direct contact when greeting someone.

  • Wash the hands regularly.

  • Distance of 1 meter for all people and 4 meters for patients or suspects.

  • Avoid crowed spaces.

  • Anyone who has a fever, cough or difficulty breathing should be considered a suspect case.

  • Mandatory use of mask.

  • lf there is a necessary contact with someone who is sick, it is mandatory the use of a FP2 mask.

  • AII employees need to measure the temperature before starting functions.

    WHAT DO WE DO TO PROTECT YOU?

  • The entire team had adequate training on COVID-19 and how to comply with the basic precautions for infection prevention and control, namely training on correct hand hygiene procedures and increasing their frequency;

  • The Housekeeping team was trained on rigorous disinfection measures in all spaces, in particular the bedrooms, common areas and sanitary facilities.

  • There is an internal Contingency Plan with various levels of responsibility in accordance with the Hotel's Self-Protection measures;

  • Dispensers of alcohol-based antiseptic solution (SABA) or, alcohol-based solution are placed in all common areas;

  • Employees are provided with PPE's such as disposable masks and gloves, and other protective materials, depending on the employee's role, such as visors or aprons;

  • Surfaces with the highest risk of transmission are regularly disinfected throughout the day. As like: door handles, light switches, telephones and computer keyboards, controls, sink taps, flushing handles, tables, trays, benches, chairs, handrails, cabinet handles, automatic payment terminal, among others;

  • ln all areas of the project, the ventilation of the rooms is guaranteed to renewing the air;

  • A hotel unit has been defined for isolation in suspected or confirmed cases;

  • The nearest Hospital is 20 minutes away (in Évora) and the Health Center of Montemor-o-Novo, with 24-hour emergencies is only 5 minutes away by car.

  • Our cancellation policy has been adjusted to the current context. AII reservations made with a flexible rate can be cancelled, free of charge, up to 72 hours before check-in.

  • Dispensers with antiseptic solution are available in all areas of the unit;

  • There are also individual protection materials for customers if necessary.

RECEPTION

  • Each time a booking confirmation arrives an e-mail it's sent, explaining how the hotel is operating and requesting some personal data in order to make check-in faster. At check-out, if the guest has a credit card with contactless system, it will be preferable.

  • AII Guest Assistants are using masks or visors to welcome the guests.

  • AII guests who want to be able to measure the temperature are registered on the guest file.

  • A safe distance is maintained between the reception desk and guests' chairs.

  • The reception desks are constantly cleaned and disinfected, as well as the entire surrounding area. After the service the counter area and chairs will be disinfected.

  • The Guest Assistant helps with the luggage, only if the guest authorizes it, and if he does so, security measures will be implemented.

  • The Guest Assistant enters inside the suite only if the guest authorizes it.

  • Check-out can be done remotely. lf so, the guest has access to his account the day before and on the day of departure we settle it using the credit card details provided.

Guests paying at the front desk should, whenever the card allows, use the contactless option.

RESTAURANT AND BAR

  • AII employees in the F&B department have adopted individual protection measures, such as wearing a mask.

  • The cleaning and disinfection of the spaces dedicated to meals are carried out with mandatory regularity, respecting the rules of the DGH referring to the hotel sector.

HOUSEKEEPING

  • This department will have an extreme service requirement.

  • At each check-out, the suite is automatically ventilated for a few hours (maximum 3 hours).

  • AII employees who may be in direct contact with guests or, who work directly in the rooms cleaning, must wear a visor, mask, gloves, long-sleeved clothing, shoe protection, and protective apron.

  • At each entrance or, exit of the suite, the employees disinfect their hands and discard all the material from the previous use, replacing it with new material in order to enter in the next room.

  • An exclusive employee has been designated for cleaning and disinfecting common areas.

  • Regular disinfection of all doors, door handles, elevator panels, controls, telephones, stair guards, sinks, dispensers for cleaning and sanitizing products, countertops, transport trolleys and various containers, among others, is carried out.

  • When cleaning the suites, all clothes must be removed: covers, cushions and other accessories, leaving the room in a period of ventilation until it can be cleaned, disinfected and used again.

  • ln the suites, the baths, taps, toilet, sinks, toilet bowls are also cleaned, with a 5% sodium hypochlorite solution.

SPA AND POOLS [EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR]

  • The heated indoor pool and sauna are operational.

  • The outdoor swimming operates from June to October.

  • Due to legal restrictions, resulting from the outbreak of COVID-19, facial treatments are not available.

  • As a regular rule of the maintenance team at L'AND, the pools are disinfected and their chlorine levels regularized daily.

  • The materials used for this purpose are also cared for, and the person who handles them, understood the current hygiene and safety rules.

  • The layout of the pools respects the distance rules, and the equipment cannot be moved.

  • The cleaning and disinfection of the sun loungers is done several times a day, being mandatory after the departure of a guest and before the arrival of the other.
