WHAT TO DO?
Visit the amazing castles of, Mourão, Monsaraz, Terena and Juromenha;
Watch the sunset in Monsaraz: make a toast with a glass of local wine and enjoy the unique landscape of one of the legendary terraces of Monsaraz;
Take a walk at night and feel the night sky. The Alqueva Lake was the first place in the world to be certified by the Starlight Foundation (UNESCO) as Starlight Tourism Destination;
Rent a boat-house and get lost for a few days on the lake. Find the various islands and contemplate its silence and tranquillity. Enjoy and picnic, or just lie on the boat and be dazzled by the starry sky;
Visit the “Museu da Luz“ in Aldeia da Luz;
Observe the birds. Try to identify some of the 250 species that can be found there during the day and at night;
Sleep in “Noudar Park”: located in the Herdade da Coitadinha, behind the hills of the Ardila river and the Múrtega stream, nestled between ridges and hills close to the village of Barrancos.
